Message The brake booster assembly comes off by taking 4 nuts, and a lock pin. Get in a comfortable position and look up at the brake pedal inside the car, you will see the 4 nuts and the pin with a clip.

The foam around the headlight area can/should be removed for painting, and new replacement foam can be bought from a vendor.

Brake parts cleaner works well for removal of heavy dirt, grime, and grease. Carb cleaner is a bit stronger and will remove grime quicker, but you'd be better off getting a gallon of purple power or simple green and keep some money in your pocket.

I washed my whole engine bay thoroughly with purple power, then scuffed the paint a bit, and applied primer where it was needed. Before paint was applied, I went over the whole engine bay with some wax&grease remover on a blue shop towel
